Overview
The Operations Supervisor, Energy Vertical, is responsible for performance management and professional development of the International department. The Operations Supervisor, Energy Vertical, will be responsible for training and developing employees; assigning work to others and a resource to the employees. Manage relationships with international service providers and partners throughout the globe being the liaison for the international vendors to manage shipment bookings, ensuring timely transfers from logistics providers' warehouses and onward to final destinations, as appropriate.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff assignment distribution, reporting and absences
  • Monitor staff overtime and schedules
  • Maintain and ensure safety culture and quality standards
  • Execute all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), KPI's, trainings, and all other assignments
  • Provide leadership and management of the international accounts
  • Conduct quarterly audits and reviews with all direct reports
  • Set employee goals, ensuring conformity to company standards and ensuring high standards from their employees and division
  • Conduct New-Hire training for all new employees
  • Develop the skills and competence of staff through training, coaching and on the job development
  • Responsible for the operation of the office when the manager is absent
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree related field or equivalent to 7 years in industry
  • 5-7 years' work experience in International Freight Forwarding industry
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory position
  • Energy and/or oil & gas sector logistics experience required
  • IATA certified, DG certification desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to handle conflicts with positive resolution
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in a high-volume, high-pressure fast work environment
  • High standards in quality and service level agreements
