Position Summary:

As a Demand and Inventory Planner, you will play a critical role in optimizing product availability and inventory efficiency across our broad Haggar apparel portfolio. You will harness advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and business acumen to improve forecast accuracy, reduce stock-outs and overstocks, and align inventory levels with consumer demand across retail and wholesale channels.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Demand Forecasting & Predictive Modeling
    • Build and maintain statistical and machine learning models to forecast demand across SKUs, categories, channels, and seasons.
    • Incorporate business drivers such as seasonality, product launches, and market trends into forecasting models.
    • Monitor forecast accuracy (MAPE, WAPE) and proactively recalibrate models as needed.
  • Inventory Planning & Optimization
    • Analyze historical sales, inventory turns, and replenishment cycles to drive inventory planning strategies.
    • Collaborate with Planning and Supply Chain teams to set safety stock levels and optimize reorder points.
    • Identify excess and obsolete inventory and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Business Intelligence & Reporting
    • Design and utilize dashboards and reports to visualize forecast performance, inventory KPIs, and demand trends using Power BI.
    • Deliver actionable insights to support the Planning, Sourcing, and Merchandising teams in making informed decisions across the product lifecycle.
    • Support monthly S&OP meetings by providing visibility into unsupported demand and SKU suspensions and actions to mitigate them.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Sales and Sourcing teams to align forecasting with business goals.
    • Communicate complex analytical concepts in an accessible manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Contribute to system and process improvement initiatives (e.g., forecast automation, integration of external signals like weather or POS data).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in a data science, analytics, or inventory/demand planning role, preferably in retail, fashion, or CPG industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle large datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with forecasting tools and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts and KPIs (e.g., fill rate, lead times, inventory turnover).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and planning tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
