An Apparel Inventory Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing the stock levels of clothing and fashion items in a retail or wholesale environment. They analyze sales data, forecast demand, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the right products are available at the right time. Their role helps prevent overstocking or stockouts, supporting smooth operations and maximizing sales. Spring Footwear Corp.
About the Role
Spring Footwear is entering its next phase of growth across wholesale, e-commerce (Shopify, Amazon, Walmart), marketplaces, and retail.
To support this, we are building a centralized Inventory & Demand Planning function to bring structure, discipline, and visibility across the business.
This role is not about maintaining reports.
This role is about building the system that drives how the company plans, buys, and manages inventory.

  • Define and enforce channel allocation strategy and priorities
  • Improve inventory turns, availability, and margin performance
  • Partner with Merchandising, Sales, Retail, Marketplace, Operations, and Finance

  • Identify risks early (stockouts, overstock, missed reorders) and take action
  • Develop scalable processes, SOPs, and planning tools

What Success Looks Like
  • Forecast accuracy improves
  • Inventory becomes balanced (less excess, fewer stockouts)

What We're Looking For
  • 8-12+ years in demand planning, inventory planning, or supply chain

    • Inventory flow
    • Channel strategy
  • Experience in omni-channel environments (DTC + wholesale + retail + marketplaces)
  • Strong leadership presence - able to influence without authority
  • Advanced Excel + ERP / BI systems

Team StructureYou will work closely with:
  • Internal Inventory Planning Lead (execution + reporting)
  • Cross-functional leaders across all channels

Why This Role Matters
This role sits at the center of the business.
You will help connect: Product → Sales → Inventory → Operations
And build the system that drives how decisions are made.
