Job description

Watson Civil Construction, Inc., a leading heavy/highway contractor specializing in FDOT projects, large site infrastructure, underground, and road work across Florida, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AP Clerk - Subcontractor for our Jacksonville/St. Augustine, FL area office. Our rapidly growing team of approximately 400 employees needs a dedicated individual to support our accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage notices to owners to ensure compliance with project requirements and legal regulations.
  • Oversee the processing and tracking of lien waivers to protect our financial interests and ensure project continuity.
  • Handle the review, processing, and timely payment of subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Act as the primary liaison with subcontractors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining effective communication.
  • Maintain and update insurance certificates and other critical project documentation to ensure compliance and up-to-date records.
  • Assist with certified payroll collection, review, and compliance tracking for prevailing wage and government-funded projects, ensuring subcontractors meet all reporting requirements.

Additional Duties May Include:
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable Collections
  • Payroll
  • General Accounting tasks such as journal entries, bank reconciliations, and data entry
  • Fixed Asset and Inventory Tracking
  • General Office Administration Support for the Accounting Department

Desired Qualifications:
