Job description

Lead AP Clerk

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking a Lead AP Clerk to join the Imperial Wagyu Beef Team within JBS Beef USA. This role provides essential support to the Wagyu cattle procurement team through accounting, data management, reporting, and communication-related responsibilities. Key areas of focus include cattle cost and lot tracking, harvest data management, accounts payable, feed yard communication, and cattle producer communication. Success in this position requires accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate incoming cattle costs, enter feeding bills into cattle tracking software, and process payments
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities for cattle and bull tracking
  • Create, invoice, ship, and track bull leases for JBS cattle producers
  • Participate in cattle forecasting meetings and track related agreements
  • Track, organize, and ship cattle DNA samples
  • Report and track headcount discrepancies for ownership groups and provide monthly supporting documentation
  • Communicate with feed yards and review, enter, and update spreadsheets to track costs and performance
  • Perform clerical duties, including answering phone calls and emails, reconciling information, maintaining Excel spreadsheets, and completing data entry
  • Build and maintain positive internal and external relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, Agricultural Business, or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneNote
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience accurately entering high volumes of data within required timelines
  • Strong critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with SAP, QlikSense, or other data analysis tools preferred
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base hourly pay range: $23.00–$25.00 per hour;

The posted salary range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the compensation that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting.
