AET 1 Wage: $25.36/H
AET 2 Wage: $28.67/H
AET 3 Wage: $33.08/H
Status: Full time, non-exempt
Reports to: BOP Manager
Travel Requirements: Local with occasional field support as required
Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Work Location: This position is based out of the Kilgore, TX shop location. Reliable transportation is required.
Work Environment is non-traditional. Work will be performed in shop and occasional field environments, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions and operational settings.
All new hire training will be based in Zelienople, PA.
Ancillary Equipment Technician
The Ancillary Equipment Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance, service, repair, and testing of ancillary oilfield equipment including light plants, power swivels, tongs,
hydraulic pumps, generators, and related support equipment. This role supports both shop and field operations to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness.
This position is best suited for mechanically inclined individuals with 1+ years of experience working with or around ancillary equipment or related systems. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting both equipment maintenance and inventory management functions in a fast-paced operational environment.

Duties
  • Service and maintain all ancillary equipment within the department including light plants, power swivels, tongs, hydraulic pumps, and generators.
  • Perform and document testing and inspections of equipment following service.
  • Maintain and track inventory of consumables and replacement parts.
  • Organize and maintain the shop, testing areas, and tong cage.
  • Assist field personnel with troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues.
  • Support operational readiness by ensuring equipment is properly maintained and available.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills amp; Abilities
Education: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience)
Experience:
1+ years of experience working with ancillary equipment or related mechanical systems preferred
Other Requirements:
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work in both shop and field environments as required
Ability to travel extensively and work rotational schedules
