Founded in Baton Rouge, Walk On's has grown to 80 locations across the country, offering a lively, community-centered dining experience with scratch-made food and a passion for sports.
Smalls Sliders is one of the fastest-growing quick-service concepts in the country, delivering a streamlined, can-obsessed slider experience. With a bold, distinctive brand and a highly scalable model, Smalls is expanding rapidly and redefining what a focused QSR can be.
This role supports both brands under a shared services structure, offering a unique opportunity to operate across two high-growth restaurant concepts at different stages of scale.
Position Summary
The Head of Analytics serves as a key strategic partner to executive leadership across Walk On's and Smalls Sliders. This role is responsible for building and leading the analytics function - spanning operational analytics, marketing analytics, and financial analysis - to drive data-informed decisions at every level of both brands.
The ideal candidate brings deep analytical expertise combined with strong business acumen, the ability to synthesize complex data across two distinct concepts, and the presence to influence senior decision-makers. This is a high-visibility role for an analytics leader who thrives in fast-paced, multi-brand environments and turns insight into action.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
  • Develop and maintain dynamic financial models that support scenario planning, new unit development, and capital allocation decisions
  • Prepare and present monthly financial performance packages to the CFO and executive leadership team, with clear variance analysis and actionable insights
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate P&L reporting at the brand, regional, and unit level
  • Evaluate and report on franchise and company-operated unit economics, including AUV trends, four-wall EBITDA, and restaurant-level margins
  • Support M&A, capital raises, and investor reporting as needed, including the preparation of financial models and board-level presentations
  • Contribute to forecasting and planning cycles, partnering with finance leadership on budgets and long-range outlook

Operational Analytics
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that give operations teams real-time visibility into unit-level KPIs including sales, labor, food cost, and guest metrics
  • Identify performance trends at the restaurant, regional, and brand level and surface actionable recommendations to operations leadership
  • Partner with operations leaders to model the financial impact of menu changes, labor scheduling strategies, and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Develop and track key operational benchmarks across the system to drive accountability and performance improvement
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on underperforming units and work cross-functionally to develop remediation plans with measurable financial targets
  • Support franchise operations by delivering financial tools, reporting templates, and training materials that help franchisees manage their business effectively

Marketing Analytics
  • Partner with the marketing teams of both brands to measure the ROI of campaigns, promotions, and digital spend across channels
  • Build analytical frameworks to evaluate guest acquisition, frequency, and lifetime value using POS, loyalty, and third-party delivery data
  • Support brand decisions with data-driven analysis of limited-time offers, pricing strategies, and menu mix optimization
  • Develop and maintain marketing performance dashboards tied to measurable sales and traffic KPIs
  • Analyze competitive market data and consumer trends to inform strategic planning at the brand level
  • Collaborate with agency and technology partners to ensure marketing data is integrated, clean, and actionable within the broader analytics ecosystem

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the Chief Financial & Strategy Officer and other senior executives, translating data insights into business strategy
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve the infrastructure supporting reporting, BI, and analytics
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics systems, processes, and tools to support scale across both brands

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive analytics experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, performance analysis, and data-driven storytelling
  • Strong command of operational and marketing analytics, with the ability to connect data to measurable business outcomes
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) required
  • Experience with restaurant POS systems and data platforms (e.g., Olo, Toast, Brink, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams and to influence senior leaders through data and storytelling
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex analytical insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • 1+ years in a director-level analytics/finance leadership role
  • Deep experience in multi-unit restaurant, retail, or consumer brands; franchise system experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with loyalty program data, third-party delivery economics, and digital marketing analytics
  • Experience with data warehousing, SQL, or analytics engineering tools
