Job description

Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and - through their work - can make an impact on our industry. We're here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.

Amex GBT's mid-market segment is a major growth engine for North America, representing small-to-medium enterprises with active travel spend and growing programs. This role is the volume-and-velocity engine driving that growth, owning a territory of SME and mid-market accounts. You'll partner with sales counterparts to identify opportunities and convert conversations into qualified pipeline at the pace the segment demands.

What You'll Do

  • Own a defined portfolio of small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-market clients across North America. Build target lists, identify decision-makers, and complete outbound cadences to generate qualified meetings.
  • Execute phone-first prospecting with multiple daily calls, leveraging tools to drive high connect rates and layering personalized email and social touches
  • Build strategic multi-touch cadences across channels that earn attention from busy buyers-knowing which accounts need more touches, different angles, or to move on
  • Manage your own pipeline buckets with discipline-tracking callbacks, nurtures, and active conversations to ensure every interaction has a defined next step
  • Partner strategically with your Account Executive on territory planning, account prioritization, and warm handoffs to ensure pipeline converts
  • Navigate your territory, tools, and day with independence, making smart prioritization calls and owning your process

What We're Looking For

  • Genuinely willing to make multiple phone calls every day
  • Self-directed and resourceful-comfortable navigating ambiguity and prioritizing independently
  • Strong partner to the field-you see the AE as a teammate and bring alignment
  • Confident and effective on the phone-you can open conversations, handle objections, and move toward clear next steps
  • Coachable and growth-oriented-you welcome feedback and want to improve daily

Location

Chicago, Illinois, United States

The US national base salary range for this position is from
