Job description

Amazon Air is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Manager - Operations to support real-time aircraft maintenance operations within our Network Control Center (NCC) at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This role sits at the center of Amazon Air's global aviation network, ensuring aircraft readiness, supporting AOG recovery, and providing critical technical insight that keeps our fleet moving safely and efficiently. The MXO team is continuously evolving its operations by incorporating data-driven tools and AI-powered analytics to improve visibility into fleet health and support proactive maintenance decisions.
Key job responsibilities
Monitor aircraft maintenance disruptions across the Amazon Air network and maintain accurate operational data within tracking systems to support real-time communication with NCC and Amazon Air stakeholders
Track aircraft operational limitations including MEL, CDL, ETOPS, CAT III, and Autoland status to support fleet readiness and station capability preparedness
Analyze maintenance events and technical data to determine operational impact and provide recommendations that support network execution and disruption recovery; apply AI tools to synthesize maintenance data and surface actionable insights
Partner with internal teams, external maintenance providers, and air carriers to coordinate maintenance responses and develop scalable operational solutions
Serve as a liaison between carrier maintenance teams and Amazon Air stakeholders, gathering key technical information and supporting Maintenance Control and Line Maintenance execution
Participate in operational calls and cross-functional meetings to communicate aircraft status, maintenance impacts, and recovery plans across the network
Collaborate with teams across Amazon Air and other business units to share best practices and improve end-to-end operational outcomes
Learn, evaluate, and integrate approved AI solutions into daily workflows; contribute to AI tool ideation and provide feedback to support continuous process improvement
Support 24/7 network operations through rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

As an Aircraft Maintenance Manager - Operations, you will work at the center of Amazon Air's 24/7 Network Control Center, monitoring fleet health and supporting maintenance decision-making across the global air network

During a typical shift, you may track aircraft limitations such as MEL or ETOPS impacts, coordinate with carrier Maintenance Control teams during an AOG event, analyze maintenance data to assess operational risk, and provide real-time updates to network stakeholders. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to support safe, efficient aircraft operations while leveraging operational dashboards and AI-enabled tools to improve situational awareness and support data-informed decisions.
