Job description

Amazon Business (AB) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support customer-facing teams across its North America Commercial, Public and Strategic (CPS) business segment. This role will partner with business teams to drive profitable growth through financial analysis, business insights, and data-driven decision-making across customer segments and verticals.
The successful candidate will support business partners with financial modeling, growth initiative analysis, and performance tracking.

The role requires developing a deep understanding of business drivers and translating them into actionable financial insights. This includes building ROI analyses, evaluating the financial impact of growth programs, and tracking results against goals. The role will contribute to the development of new metrics, reporting, and scalable analytical frameworks that enable the business to measure progress and identify opportunities.

Invent & Simplify - leveraging AI tools to automate, scale processes, and accelerate insights - will be an important part of this role.
This role requires a high degree of learn and be curious to understand the needs of our customers, and bias for action to navigate in a fast-paced, ambiguous, customer-facing environment. The candidate must be able to clearly communicate financial findings and recommendations to support decision-making across teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Amazon Business Sales and Partner teams as a finance business partner, providing analytical support to drive profitable topline growth across customer segments
- Support growth initiatives by building financial models that quantify opportunity size, investment requirements, and expected returns for new programs and sales motions
- Conduct financial analysis of large customer initiatives including deal structuring, pricing scenarios, and ROI evaluation of
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis cycle including topline and P&L planning, guidance revisions, monthly financial reviews, and variance analysis
- Build and automate reporting and metrics that enable business teams to track performance against goals and surface actionable insights. Use AI to automate and streamline processes.
- Engage with cross-functional partners across Amazon Business Sales, FP&A, Go-To-Market Operations, and Managed Spend teams to develop insights and support initiatives
- Communicate financial analysis and recommendations through effective verbal and written communication, leveraging tools including Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms
