Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Amazon Leo Builder Product Services we build the services that enable our program to design and engineer the future of LEO Satellite based broadband services. The team is seeking to hire a Senior Technical Program Manager who will lead the technical planning, coordination, and implementation of multiple programs across this new initiative. Manage the lifecycle (architecture, design, implementation, documentation and measurement) of the teams that are delivering for the programs you manage.
As a Sr Technical Program manager, you will work alongside other Program Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers to drive key business initiatives. Collaborate with teams across Amazon on the planning and execution of complex and highly-technical projects with high impact and visibility.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage complex Product Lifecycle Management PDM/PLM/MCAD and ECAD system implementation projects
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product and feature requirements across MCAD, ECAD, Manufacturing, and SAP domains.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage escalations or mis-alignments when there are risks to delivering committed services with high quality; manages tradeoff decisions with key stakeholders.
- Work with stakeholder teams to determine the appropriate escalation, review process, and resolution for delivery blockers.
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.

The Kuiper Builder Product Services team supports and enables the applications for Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Library Management, Product Lifecycle Management, and the interface to our Enterprise systems including, ERP and our Manufacturing tools to drive key business initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- 5+ years of technical program management experience
- Excellent at creating and maintaining working relationships across all levels and disciplines, receptive to feedback and input from others, and quick to apply changes.
- Work with internal subject matter experts to gather information, synthesize business and technical concepts, build strategic business metrics, and write original content that drives decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
- 3+ years of PLM, CAD, or manufacturing systems experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
