Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to support the ongoing systems integration and data normalization work underway across the combined Revenue Allocation and Royalties organizations. This is a contract role with potential to convert to a full-time position, reporting directly to the VP, Financial Systems & Transformation.
This role sits at the intersection of two teams - Revenue Allocation and Royalty Reporting - and our rights management systems, and is responsible for ensuring data is properly structured, normalized, and reliable as it moves across our technology stack. The ideal candidate is comfortable working hands-on with data, moves fluidly between systems and teams, and brings prior experience supporting system implementations.
This role reports directly to the VP, Financial Systems & Transformation and works closely with the Revenue Allocation and Royalty Reporting teams, as well as counterparts supporting rights management systems, to ensure data consistency and integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead data normalization efforts across source systems to ensure consistent structure, formatting, and classification standards.
  • Support system migration and integration initiatives spanning the Revenue Allocation and Royalty Reporting teams, including active workstreams such as c onsolidation and platform implementation projects.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity and availability across rights management and finance systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
  • Serve as a functional bridge between the Revenue Allocation and Royalties teams, ensuring data definitions, mappings, and workflows remain aligned between the two groups.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based models, trackers, and reporting tools to support day-to-day analysis and ad hoc requests.

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Analyst with demonstrated experience in financial data analysis, data structuring, or systems-focused analytical roles.
  • Strong understanding of data normalization principles and how to properly structure data for downstream reporting and system use.
  • Proven experience supporting system migrations, integrations, or implementations.
  • Very strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data modeling, and large dataset management.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and adapt quickly across multiple systems and stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Alteryx
  • Experience using Claude AI or similar AI tools to support analytical or data workflows.
  • Experience with NetSuite.
  • Familiarity with entertainment rights, royalties, or media licensing data structures.
  • Prior exposure to rights management platforms (e.g., iRights, Rightsline) or similar entertainment industry systems
