Job description

Job Summary:
Suvi, an Akima company, is looking for an Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer to support IT across all DoD OIG networks. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring the security and performance of applications and networks in hybrid environments.
Responsibilities:
• Support the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise IT infrastructure across hybrid environments, including Microsoft Azure cloud services and on-premises systems.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of mission-critical applications, networks, and services operating across unclassified (NIPRNet), and secret (SIPRNet) domains.
• Manage computer, storage, virtualization, and network components, and support integration of COTS and custom applications.
• System hardening, patching, monitoring, automation, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. Will also collaborate with cybersecurity, application, and operations teams to support continuity of operations, disaster recovery, and secure cross-domain solutions.
• Be knowledgeable across multiple infrastructure domains (e.g., virtualization, backup, identity, networking, or cloud services) to ensure continuity of service and will provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
• 6-8 years of experience in the design, implementation and sustainment of enterprise IT infrastructure supporting hybrid environments
• Active IAT Level II certification or equivalent
Preferred:
• Preferred Certification: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or higher Azure certification
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Preferred major in Information Technology
