Job description

Job Summary:
Suvi, an Akima company, is looking for an F5 Applications Engineer to support IT across all DoD OIG networks. The role involves designing, deploying, and optimizing application delivery solutions using F5 technologies while ensuring the performance and security of critical applications.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design, deployment, and optimization of application delivery solutions using F5 technologies across enterprise environments.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of mission-critical applications by leveraging F5 BIG-IP modules such as LTM, ASM, APM, and DNS.
• Collaborating with application owners, network engineers, and security teams to implement advanced traffic management policies, SSL offloading, and application-layer security controls.
• Developing and maintaining iRules and iApps, integrating F5 solutions with identity providers and cloud platforms, and supporting application onboarding and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and the automation of deployment and monitoring processes.
• Maintaining a resilient, scalable, and secure application delivery infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in IT or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6-8 years in an IT related field.
• Active IAT Level II certification or equivalent.
Preferred:
• Certified Technology Specialist certification.
