Job description

Job Summary:
Akima is a federal IT contractor that supports Alaska Native communities. They are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead initiatives in enhancing enterprise connectivity and performance while designing and implementing network solutions for superior customer experience.
Responsibilities:
• Lead initiatives to enhance and maintain enterprise-wide connectivity and performance
• Troubleshoot complex network and system issues, ensuring reliability and scalability
• Provide and manage WAN circuits for commercial Internet access, ensuring secure and efficient communication channels
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technical improvements
• Guide the organization in adopting best practices for architecture, infrastructure, and integration
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Must be a US Citizen - Able to obtain a Public Trust
• Strong experience in enterprise architecture, networking, and cloud solutions
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent professional certifications
