Job description

The role of the Data Validation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data within the organization's systems by reviewing and auditing data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving data discrepancies, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data is used properly and complies with regulatory requirements across all systems and processes within the company; essentially safeguarding the validity and integrity of the data throughout its lifecycle. The Coordinator will be required to exercise independent judgement that is built upon pre-established guidelines. This position reports to the Data Quality & Integrity Manager.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Gather and validate information from various sources that is to be entered into electronic systems
  • Review and analyze data sets to identify patterns, inconsistencies, duplicates, and potential data quality issues across various systems and sources
  • Perform data cleansing activities to correct errors, standardize data formats, and ensure data integrity through validation checks and data cleansing tools
  • Maintain and update databases to ensure data consistency and accessibility, including data de-duplication
  • Perform quality checks to identify and correct data errors, ensuring data integrity and reliability by resolving data discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Collaborating with other teams to identify and rectify data issues
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and organize online content to improve Google Analytics, SEO, search results, menus, and filters
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational standards and relevant guidelines
  • Maintain knowledge of "Airline Cost" when validating data and affects it may cause within other departments
  • Provide support to developers, marketing team and sales staff to continually improve the experience of internal and external website users
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and meticulousness in data handling and entry
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); College degree is a plus
  • Proficiency in data management software, database systems (e.g., SQL) is a plus
  • Ability to transition between multiple job priorities at the same time
  • Number facility: The individual must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Reaching โ€“ extend hands / arms in any direction to reach office equipment and/or reference materials
  • Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • The individual must be able to read, write and speak the English language proficiently enough to communicate with co-workers and industry associates, to understand directions, to respond to management inquiries and to make entries on reports and records
