Job Title:  Airfreight Spot Desk Pricing Lead
Job Location: Atlanta, Georgia

We have an exciting opportunity for an Airfreight Spot Desk Pricing Lead who will be responsible for leading the execution, control, and optimization of spot pricing activities within the Air Freight product. This role ensures timely, competitive, and profitable pricing solutions for key customers while maintaining alignment with pricing guidelines and overall commercial strategy.

 

This position leads a team of pricing analysts and serves as the primary escalation point for complex, high-value, and risk-sensitive pricing decisions, driving performance outcomes across margin, win rates, and service excellence.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Air Freight Pricing Analysts; manage performance, workload prioritization, and KPIs
  • Oversee execution of adhoc/spot pricing requests, ensuring speed, accuracy, and market competitiveness
  • Define and enforce pricing guidelines in alignment with product standards and regional strategy
  • Manage and approve pricing risk through structured escalation processes, including engagement with Gateway, pricing, and senior leadership
  • Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Capacity teams to deliver commercially viable and operationally feasible solutions
  • Monitor performance (e.g., win rate, margin, turnaround time) and drive continuous improvement in pricing processes and tools
 

Skills / Requirements:

 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field or relevant work experience and/or 5-8+ years of experience in air freight, freight forwarding, or logistics, with strong pricing exposure
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including team management or mentoring experience
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen with focus on profitability and risk management
  • Proficiency in pricing, quoting, and forwarding systems; advanced Excel skills required
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Sales, Operations, and leadership levels. 
 

Pay Range: $68,722.50 - $91,630.00+ (Based on Experience)
