The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department for vacation rental, condo, and VRBO properties. This position is responsible for ensuring all units meet company cleanliness standards, coordinating turnover schedules, inspecting completed units, managing housekeeping staff, and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
  • Assign cleaning schedules and turnover responsibilities based on occupancy and guest arrival/departure times.
  • Conduct inspections of guest units to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and readiness for arrivals.
  • Train, coach, and develop housekeeping team members on company standards and procedures.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide corrective coaching when necessary.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and timekeeping for housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
  • Maintain inventory of linens, towels, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
  • Order supplies as needed and monitor departmental expenses.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, complaints, and service recovery situations related to housekeeping.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or property damage.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and property management teams to ensure units remain guest-ready.
  • Assist with cleaning and turnover duties during peak occupancy periods or staffing shortages.
