Salary: $70,000-100,000 DOE

Summary

Esposito Construction is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator specializing in underground utility construction. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in AGTEK software and experienced in reviewing civil plans and preparing accurate, competitive estimates for excavation, site work, and underground utility projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and bid documents for underground utility and site work projects
  • Utilize AGTEK software for takeoffs, earthwork modeling, and quantity calculations
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for excavation, trenching, backfill, grading, and utility installation
  • Analyze project scope and identify risks, cost exposures, and value engineering opportunities
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
  • Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to validate production rates and project assumptions
  • Assist in preparing bid proposals and supporting documentation
  • Maintain historical cost data and continuously improve estimating accuracy


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience estimating civil construction projects
  • Strong proficiency in AGTEK (required)
  • Experience estimating underground utilities (water, sewer, storm, and related site work)
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans, profiles, and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of earthwork, excavation methods, and production rates
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Civil engineering or construction management background preferred
