AGTEK/CAD Technician
Hughes Brothers Construction is now hiring! We are a heavy civil contractor specializing in large site infrastructure, underground utilities and roadway construction throughout Central Florida. The AGTEK/CAD Technician is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely quantity take-offs for site development, underground utility and roadway projects.
Responsibilities:

  • Perform quantity take-offs for civil construction scopes of work including earthwork, underground utilities and roadways.
  • Ability to effectively utilize computer software for quantity take-offs and estimate preparation (AGTEK, AutoCAD, HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office).
  • Assist the estimating and project management departments with the preparation of project proposals, change orders, etc.
  • Prepare exhibits and drawings as needed to include with proposals for backup and clarification of bid quantities.
  • Perform clerical duties as needed such as creating and maintaining electronic files, compiling relevant data for use in project proposals, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proficiency with computer programs including AGTEK, AutoCAD, HCSS, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings
  • High school diploma or higher level of education
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
