The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a vital leadership role in maintaining the exceptional guest experience, operational excellence, and historic integrity that define The Ice Plant. This position bridges daily restaurant operations, staff development, and guest relations—ensuring that our standards of quality, hospitality, and professionalism are consistently upheld.
Key Responsibilities- Operations & Service Management
- Oversee daytoday operations of the bar, dining room, and kitchen to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak hours to support staff, interact with guests, and resolve service issues promptly.
- Uphold and enforce all company policies, including responsible alcohol service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, tip reporting, and daily reconciliation of sales and inventory. Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor frontofhouse managers, bartenders, and servers to foster a positive, professional, and cohesive work environment.
- Lead preshift meetings and staff training sessions to reinforce service standards, menu knowledge, and guest engagement.
- Support the General Manager in scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when needed.
- Encourage a culture of accountability, teamwork, and pride in the craft of hospitality. Guest Experience
