QA Engineer

Onsite in Foster City, CA | 5 days in office

The Quality Assurance team is actively seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure that our backend services are optimized, secure, and offer the highest level of reliability for our autonomous fleet management systems.

Our robots carry out critical missions such as rideshare trips, charging, cleaning and also provide rider interactions like authentication, ingress, and egress. The efficient performance of these tasks directly depends on the robustness of our backend infrastructure. As a QA Engineer, you will play an instrumental role in securing the high-quality operation of our systems, affecting the riders' experience and the overall efficiency of our autonomous fleet management.

Responsibilities

Design and implement test plans and procedures for our backend services, which include ride hailing, autonomous charging, cleaning, fleet monitoring and coordination applications

Validate and verify the functionality and efficiency of APIs, services and data models intended for use by rider mobile apps, robots and fleet management tools, and support the integration of these clients.Test the vehicle agent component that bridges communication between vehicle components and the backend service to ensure the communication is efficient and robust

Develop and execute automated test scripts that simulate multi-agent coordination, resource allocation, planning, and optimization workflows for a fleet of autonomous vehicles

Work closely with the development team to ensure that the backend systems are scalable, observable and fault tolerant

Lead independent activities such as ZPT triage, root cause analysis, release testing and process improvement, and contribute to developing products that impact humans and their experience in autonomous vehicle ride

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, or related field

3+ years of experience in quality assurance

Experience with Python

Experience writing scripts that exercise workflows

Experience with APIs

Understanding API documentation and specifications

Experience analyzing backend logs for triaging issues and inclusion in bug reports

Able to lead independent activities such as root cause analysis, process improvement, etc.

Bonus Qualifications:

Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Java, Kotlin

Masters degree in computer science or related degree

Experience with customer-facing application experience

Experience handling large data sets
