Job Summary:
Belcan is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to support aerospace manufacturing operations in Indianapolis, IN. This role supports production operations, CNC machining, process development, manufacturing planning, industrialization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Engineer will partner with operations, quality, and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes, resolve production issues, and support operational excellence in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities Can Include:
* Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production and process issues.
* Develop and improve manufacturing processes, routings, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
* Support CNC machining, automation systems, tooling, machine setup, and production workflows.
* Qualify manufacturing processes and equipment to meet quality and operational requirements.
* Support engineering changes, technical documentation updates, and manufacturing readiness activities.
* Conduct shop floor assessments, process reviews, and production data analysis.
* Partner with operators and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve performance.
* Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
* Support process validation, production ramp-up, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Manage multiple priorities while supporting daily manufacturing operations.
Core Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, or a related discipline.
* Experience supporting manufacturing operations, process engineering, production support, and/or CNC machining environments.
* Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams in a production environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
* U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Aerospace, turbine engine, propulsion, aviation, or precision machining experience.
* Experience with CNC machining, automated manufacturing systems, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
* Experience supporting NPI, industrialization, production readiness, or process development activities.
* Experience creating manufacturing routings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
* Familiarity with Teamcenter, MultiCAPP, SAP, MES, ERP, PLM, MITI, or similar systems.
* Knowledge of gaging, inspection methods, quality systems, and process controls.
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
