Job description

Title- Maintenance Tech Forge
Duration- 12-month contract to permanent
Location- 
North Vernon, IN, 47265
IInd Shift
Pay Rate- $30.00/ hr.
Summary
  • Safely maintain equipment and working conditions to meet plant expectations.
  • Provide reliable support that allows the plant to manufacture products that exceed customer expectations.
  • Interact with production and maintenance supervisors to align necessary repairs and production priorities.
  • Communicate material needs or deficiencies to the maintenance supervisor.
  • REPORTS TO Directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Shift leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Notify Maintenance Team Leader, Production Team Leader or Operator when task are completed and tested ready for Production.
  • Rotate/ assist with other Maintenance Specialists to the as directed as it applies to time management.
  • Communications between Maintenance Teams.
  • Assist with planned changes for minimum disruption at required operations.
  • Responsible for assigned maintenance tasks, and PMs.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of equipment, facility and property.
  • Assist with maintenance activities that support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement in the plant.
  • Assist with engineering and quality groups in ensuring reliability and capability of production equipment and supporting systems.
  • Assists the on-going training efforts of the maintenance organization to ensure that the skill level exists to meet demand of existing and emerging technologies by sharing knowledge of activities.
  • In addition to the above responsibilities, this position is responsible for other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree in Applied Science in Electronic, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Automated Manufacturing or Electrical experience or equivalent work experience in a Maintenance Technician role.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in industrial maintenance/manufacturing operations (4 years’ experience preferred)
  • A working knowledge of compacting, forging, deflash, double disk grind, shot peen, whitelight inspection, video ink jet, magnetic particle inspection and dip tank operation is preferred.
