The Senior Process Engineer will serve as a hands-on engineering partner to plant leadership and operations within a renewable energy facility converting organic waste into renewable electricity and renewable natural gas. This position is responsible for understanding and optimizing the complete plant process, monitoring operating performance, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, and implementing improvements that increase uptime, reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
The Senior Process Engineer will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and plant leadership to analyze process data, develop operating procedures, conduct root cause analysis, support process safety programs, improve SCADA and automation capabilities, and lead continuous-improvement projects from identification through implementation.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of process engineering or directly relevant process-focused engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of industrial process flow and continuous-process operations
  • Experience monitoring and trending process variables including flow, temperature, pressure, and other operating parameters
  • Ability to analyze operating data and identify process trends, relationships, and performance issues
  • Experience troubleshooting process deviations, equipment-performance issues, and operating inefficiencies
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Experience developing and maintaining technical and operating documentation
