Job description

The Ministry Assistant plays an integral role in supporting the SRC Middle School Coordinator and the SRC Middle ministry. This role requires the ability to build systems, plan events, pay attention to detail, remain flexible with plans, and work well with people. This role is part relational and part operational. This is an in person, in-office part-time role working 15 hours per week. A background screening and drug screening are required for all candidates offered employment.

Responsibilities:
  • Help develop and carry out the vision of the Middle School ministry.
  • Attend SRC Middle Campus Night on Wednesdays, and SRC Worship and Coffee Hour on Sundays.
  • Lead set-up of Campus Night including rooms, parking lot, and slides
  • Serves as one of the teachers at Middle School Campus Night as a means of leading students to Christ, and growing students in Christ.
  • Build, maintain, and train volunteers and students, equipping them for the work of ministry
  • Lead small groups as assigned by MS Coordinator
  • Develops discipleship relationships with the students and their families, leading them to engage more deeply with Christ, and have a greater commitment to the church.
  • Support any and all administrative duties as requested and work with SRC Middle Admin Assistant to insure all details are executed.
  • As part of Student Ministry’s outreach and discipleship efforts, the ministry assistant will assist in leading students on weekends, and camps, along with the Middle School Coordinator and any other ministry staff requested to attend. Their responsibilities on the trips include acting as a spiritual mentor, deepening Christ-centered relationships with the students, and acting as a supervisor for the trips.

  • Strong teaching ability and biblical knowledge, with the skills to engage and inspire middle school students.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to problem-solve and adjust to changing situations as needed.
  • Creativity and ability to create vision to grow the program.
