Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Comprehensive Oral Health houses several disciplines including, Periodontology, Dental Hygiene, Comprehensive Dentistry, Operative Dentistry/BioMaterials, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. The Periodontology discipline focuses on the prevention and treatment of gum disease, as well as the management of gum and tissue inflammation resulting from existing dental conditions
Position Summary
The Patient Relations Representative functions as the primary point of contact for the daily patient account functions, cashiering, addressing and resolution of insurance inquiries, reconciliation of patient account balances, and perform the end of day reconciliation for depositing the clinic's accounts receivables. This position is also responsible for any clerical work designated by the Graduate Program Directors or direct supervisor.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Management Preferences
Prior work experience in a dental/medical office setting.
