Job Description:
At Regions, the Corporate Development Mergers and Acquisitions Associate supports the execution of acquisition transactions through supporting strategy development, diligence, execution, and integration planning. Critical to this role is performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of potential acquisitions and researching potential M&A segments and sellers.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develops and prepares quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the M&A evaluation and/or divestiture processes
  • Performs pro forma financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and business valuations, and assists in the preparation of financial models and other materials to be used in presentations and as support for deal transactions
  • Supports the M&A process by reviewing and validating financial models and analytical tools that value acquisition candidates
  • Provides analytical support of potential transactions, evaluating the pro forma impact on Regions and attractiveness of transactions
  • Prepares communications materials and perspectives on business segments and acquisition candidates
  • Partners with the M&A team's functional partners to ensure modeling assumptions and output are accurate
  • Participates in all stages of the life cycle of an actual transaction including managing assisting in organizing and participating in due diligence including conducting industry and company-specific due diligence and research in support of transaction activities and new business generation
  • Communicate and interact with industry partners and Regions' bankers and senior leadership as well as with clients and other external parties.
  • Provides guidance and oversight to M&A Analysts by reviewing analysis and outputs and providing specific feedback
  • Maintains oversight of the M&A team's models, analytic tools, capabilities, and templates

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in a professional corporate finance advisory functions, financial services, finance, accounting, management consulting, or investment banking

  • Master's degree
  • Advanced certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
