Bloom Healthcare is a leading provider of primary care, palliative care, and hospice services in the Greater Colorado Area. Our compassionate and dedicated team strives to create a meaningful experience for patients and their families.
Role Overview:
We are seeking compassionate, caring, and committed volunteers to join our Bloom Hospice Volunteer Program. Volunteers play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our patients by offering valuable companionship and specialized therapies, including music therapy, pet therapy, and other alternative therapies.
Responsibilities:
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist in providing specialized therapies such as music therapy, pet therapy, and other alternative therapies
  • Work closely with the hospice care team to ensure patient needs are met
  • Support patients' families and friends through Bereavement Program activities such as outreach, support groups, and administrative work
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, as well as patient privacy policies
Qualifications:
  • No prior experience in healthcare is required; training will be provided
  • Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Availability to commit to a regular volunteer schedule for this unpaid position
  • Must pass a background check and comply with all Bloom Healthcare policies and procedures
