Job description

Casella offers a challenging internship opportunity for high-potential candidates. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and partner with individuals at various levels of the organization; a willingness and ability to proactively engage in continuous improvement; and a willingness to learn and quickly apply skills and knowledge to business processes.

Hiring range $20 an hour


  • Supports data cleanup and preparation for the transition from Softpak to the ACMS platform
  • Gains knowledge of operating systems by assisting with account clean-up, set-up, and updates in both Softpak & CRM
  • Assists with RFP materials and set-up as requested by the Sales Team
  • Researches and identifies potential new haulers outside of our service area
  • Maintains updated division and 3rd party vendor contact records
  • Supports hauler mapping and development
  • Contributes to special projects to gain process knowledge
  • Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services, and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Applicants for the internship must be working towards a bachelor’s or other advanced degree from an accredited institution.  Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills, combined with excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, research, and analytical abilities, are required. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
