Job description

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), Accounting/Accounts Receivable Unit, is seeking two (2) student assistants to support a variety of accounting and financial operations. The student assistants will assist with remote bank deposits, enter invoices in our accounting system, remit payment to State Controller's Office, record invoices received from Financial Management Office in Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal), follow up for payments, disburse pay warrants to employees, special handling to vendors, track incoming payments, log payments received, process dishonored check payment to the Bank, process refunds for overpayments received, coordinate with Programs to provide coding regarding payments received etc.
