Position Summary/Details:

Join our Payroll team for a hands-on internship experience where you'll gain exposure to core payroll operations, HR data management, and enterprise systems like SAP. This opportunity is ideal for junior or senior-level college students looking to apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced, collaborative business environment. Interns will work closely with experienced payroll professionals, contribute to real-time projects, and develop practical skills in data accuracy, compliance, and employee support. This internship offers a valuable foundation for students pursuing careers in HR, Accounting, Finance, or Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the payroll inbox and apply appropriate flags or assignments.
  • Respond to basic payroll-related questions and requests from employees.
  • Assist in reviewing Master Data against New Hire and Job Change Request forms.
  • Support employment verification processes.
  • Input quota data for new hires and assist with SLD (Staffing Level Data) updates.
  • Participate in basic payroll audits and data integrity checks.
  • Build foundational knowledge of SAP Payroll Modules and transaction codes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop a working understanding of payroll processes and compliance.
  • Gain experience with HRIS systems, particularly SAP.

Working Conditions Mostly in a normal office environment

Preferred Availability: Part - Time (20-30 hours)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.

Co-Op Requirements:

To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.

Required Degree: Bachelor level degree seeking student

Preferred/Related Discipline: Accounting, Business, Human Resources, Finance, or related field

Preferred Year in School: Junior or Senior
