General Description
SUNY Niagara has a need for part time accounting instructors to teach various accounting courses within the Business, Technology & Arts division. This position will be responsible for teaching students throughout the academic semester.
The classes will take place in person on campus during the day, on either a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule or Tuesday/Thursday schedule.
We are looking to fill this position for the Spring 2027 semester with a start date of mid January 2027.
Remuneration for persons teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $960 per lecture hour.
In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening. Candidates who submit their information may or may not be notified as to the status of their application.

Essential Functions
Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and a Master's degree in Education or Business.
Desirable Qualifications
โ€ข Previous teaching experience at a community college or 4-year college/university.
โ€ข Remote learning teaching experience.
โ€ข Experience with the BlackBoard
