JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Accounting Department within the Smeal College of Business seeks to hire a Part-Time Instructor to teach courses in the online Masters of Taxation program. Applicants should have detailed knowledge of the tax law in subjects such as corporate taxation (including reorganizations and consolidated tax returns); tax research, writing & analysis; partnerships; estate & gift tax; exempt organizations; and/or state & local taxation. A Master's degree or equivalent education and experience is required.
The successful candidate will be expected to design and present course material in an asynchronous format that teaches students how to resolve tax law questions in support of economic decision making and tax return position defense. Courses provide an in-depth understanding of the ethical constructs that guide and limit the practice of taxation.
