Automotive Accounting Specialist

Description of the role:

The Automotive Accounting Specialist position with Mills Automotive Group is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic team.  This role is suitable for an experienced professional who has a strong background in dealership accounting and is looking to take on a role that can grow into a leadership position!

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile G/L account balances and schedules
  • Daily deposit reconciliation
  • Cash receipt posting
  • Credit card batch processing
  • Service & warranty receivable posting
  • Customer A/R reconciliation
  • Posting Wholesales and dealer trades
  • Inventory additions and removals
  • Deal Flow log & Clean Up
  • Serve as backup for all accounting positions in the office
  • Assist with month-end duties
  • Ensure policies and procedures are upheld
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to the dealerships
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Dealership accounting experience a plus
  • CDK system experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
