Job Title: Accounting/Purchasing Assistant
Duration: 10 + Months (Possible Extension)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting/Purchasing Assistant to support various clerical and data entry tasks. This role involves filing, copying, data input into state systems, assisting with encumbrances, and performing other administrative duties as assigned. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and capable of working independently while accepting instruction and feedback. This is a full-time position (up to 40 hours/week) with some flexibility in scheduling during the standard workweek.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine clerical tasks, including copying, filing, and document organization
  • Assist with encumbrance processing and data entry into state financial and procurement systems
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in various state software programs
  • Support general administrative operations as assigned
  • Adapt to shifting tasks and priorities as needed
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and supervisors
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
