Job description

As a Loan Operations Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Commercial and Agricultural lending teams by ensuring loan documentation, insurance tracking, and operational processes are handled accurately and efficiently.   • Process daily incoming mail and route to the appropriate area.
  • Review insurance for new and renewed loans to ensure acceptable proof of insurance is in file prior to closing.
  • Maintain the files containing original loan documents.
  • Update Sageworks verifying the receipt of original loan documents.
  • Process incoming Financial Documents as needed to support the Loan Servicing Team.
  • Assist in maintaining and producing procedures for tasks in job description.
  • documents for uploading to the imaging system, Director, for permanent electronic storage.
  • Review and monitor tickler report for final title policies, recorded documents, vehicle titles, etc.
  • Process paid notes within the required time which includes preparing satisfactions and lien releases and updating all systems appropriately.
  • Process all incoming insurance policies, monitor cancellations, invoices, flood, and life insurance policies to ensure proper updates to the core system are made.
  • Manage financial statement collection process.
  • Perform back up responsibilities with other team members.
  • Assist in maintaining and producing procedures for tasks in job description.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Participate in bank and department meetings.
  • Represent the bank in professional and community activities.
  • Actively participate in training programs to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
  • Partner effectively across all levels of the organization and develop positive working relationships.
  • Continually develop knowledge, skills, and abilities through internal and external training programs.
  • Perform all other duties or projects as assigned or requested.

Requirements
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (especially listening and verbal) to communicate and relate effectively with customers and associates.
  • Good accounting/math skills with the ability to work precisely with numbers and financial calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently & accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software.
  • Ability to put forth the extra effort necessary to ensure a successful operation, including but not limited to working additional hours, attending educational programs, etc.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.
  • Willingness to work toward the goals and performance standards of the department with a focus on the bank and department mission statements.

This position is a full time position with hours of 8am - 5pm Monday-Friday with the flexibility.
