A professional services organization is seeking an Accounting Operations Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and lead a team of accounting professionals. This role is available in Indianapolis, Louisville, or Cincinnati and is ideal for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys managing workflows, people, and process improvement in a hybrid environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Manage and develop an accounting team, ideally overseeing 3 or more direct reports
  • Coordinate month‑end and year‑end close activities
  • Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and reports
  • Establish and improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate with finance, leadership, and other internal stakeholders
  • Support audits and ensure proper documentation and controls are maintained
  • Serve as a resource for accounting policy interpretation and best practices

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
