Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate, timely preparation of financial records and statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies
  • Manage periodend close activities, including expense reconciliation and general ledger review
  • Monitor ledger activity and proactively resolve posting or classification issues
  • Supports forecast and projection processes by ensuring financial results, accruals, and trends are understood, properly reflected, and communicated to the Controller.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Review expense payments (including purchase card activity) to ensure compliance with approval and control standards
  • Oversee capital expenditure accounting, validation of savings initiatives, and proper asset tracking
  • Partner with Inventory Control to support financial integrity, inventory accuracy, and related reporting
  • Interprets results and recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency/quality.
  • Analyze financial and operational results, identify trends, and highlight risks and opportunities
  • Develop and publish daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and dashboards
  • Participates in the development of advanced analytic tools and models (predominantly in Microsoft Excel) requiring ingenuity, creativity and short deliverable timeframes ("build from scratch")
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses to support operational, strategic, and special project needs
  • Provide financial insights to support productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team to deliver highquality results
  • Collaborate closely with Distribution Center leadership to support business decisions
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners and external vendors regarding financial questions, payments, and deductions
  • Foster an inclusive, highperformance team culture focused on accountability and continuous learning 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Progressive accounting experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or retail environments
  • Prior peoplemanagement or teamlead experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and periodend close processes
  • Solid understanding of inventory systems and distribution/warehouse cost structures
  • Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and collaboration abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence across levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Essbase or similar)
  • Knowledge and experience with Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, Microsoft Power BI Desktop, SQL and BigQuery
