CV Resources is partnering with a Bellevue client on their search for a new Controller.

Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization seeking an experienced Controller to lead and scale its accounting function. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on operational leadership. Based in Bellevue, WA, this is a full-time, onsite position.

The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, audit management, and multi-entity accounting while leading and developing a growing accounting team. This individual will work closely with executive leadership and business partners to support continued expansion, strengthen financial processes, and build scalable infrastructure.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Coordinate annual audits, tax support, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and management reporting.
  • Develop KPI reporting and financial analytics to support executive decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting systems optimization.
  • Support ERP enhancements and help maximize reporting efficiency through financial systems and technology.
  • Manage accounting for multiple legal entities and support acquisitions, integrations, and continued organizational growth.
Qualifications
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, VP of Accounting, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience managing multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
  • Proven success leading external financial audits.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or comparable platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
Preferred Experience
  • Private equity-backed organizations.
  • Multi-location or multi-site operating environments.
