Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Controller (Director of Accounting) to join our General Accounting team.
Pay Information:
Internal Offers: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable personnel rules or union contract terms.
External Offers: This position starts at $147,305.60 annually. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
Preference: Applicants with a financial background in healthcare may be given preference.
Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller develops, implements and administers financial control, analysis, operating systems, and internal controls, and manages the Finance Department.
The Controller ensures that policies are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), regulations and existing federal and state laws. The incumbent of this position must have a solid understanding of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and fund accounting experience.
Desired Qualifications for the Job:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • A Master of Business Administration is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Five years of professional finance experience of which two of those years included lead or supervisory duties.
    • Experience in a hospital or integrated health system is preferred.
  • License(s): None
  • Certification(s): HFMA certification is highly desirable.
