Senior Accountant to support their Accounting Department during a period of increased activity and internal transition. This role is ideal for a detail oriented accounting professional who enjoys ownership of core financial processes, thrives in a fast paced environment, and values working as part of an engaged, collaborative team.
Senior Accountant (Temporary - 6 to 9 Months) Location: Levittown, PA
Schedule: Fully Onsite
Compensation: $38-$42/hr
Type: Temporary Contract (6-9 months)
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Close- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
- Complete monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
- Generate month end financial reports and review them for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with financial packages required for internal and external reporting.
Forecasting & Analysis- Support the development of financial forecasts using various assumptions and data sources.
- Review forecast variances and collaborate with stakeholders to validate results.
Treasury & Banking- Coordinate quarterly dividend payout processes in partnership with the Treasury team.
- Reconcile bank statements and research discrepancies as needed.
Technical & Special Projects- Perform accounting research and support adhoc accounting initiatives.
- Record quarterly transactions related to the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
- Assist leadership with special projects to enhance process efficiency and reporting quality.
Cross Functional Communication- Maintain proactive and clear communication with internal departments and external partners.
- Provide support and documentation required for audits or reviews.
General Responsibilities- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
QualificationsRequired- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience with demonstrated knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong understanding of general ledger processes and financial reporting.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
