The North America Account Manager works to improve MCC Labelโ€™s market position and achieve financial growth. This position defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The Account Manager focuses on three main areas: New Account Development, Client Retention, and Account Planning. This role is highly collaborative as it requires interaction with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff.ย 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Account Developmentย 

  • Prospect for potential new clients - Cold call and set up meetings potential clients and decision makersย 
  • Work with team to develop proposals that address client needs, concerns, and objectives.ย 
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.ย 
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.ย 

Client Retentionย 

  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.ย 
  • Work with technical staff, analytics group, marketing and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.ย 
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.ย 

Account Planningย 

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.ย 
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.ย 
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the companyโ€™s unique selling propositions and differentiators.ย 

Administrativeย 

  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.ย 
  • Enter and manage data accurately within the companyโ€™s CRM or other sales management systems.ย 
  • Forecast and meet sales targetsย 
  • Track and record activity on accounts.ย 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree
  • 3-5 years proven work experience in Sales directly in labels or flexible packaging.
  • Must occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
  • Knowledge of CRM Software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills ย 

This role is primarily office-based or home office-based, requiring extended periods of sitting, computer use, occasional walking or light lifting, and may involve brief visits to manufacturing areas; reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
