POSITION SUMMARY

Primarily responsible for the collection of delinquent installment loans, Visa accounts, and negative balance accounts. This position provides significant support for collection and recovery operations. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in the recovery of charged-off loans, negative balance share accounts, returned checks, and obtaining repayment arrangements. Position will require some evening hours on a rotation basis.


QUALIFICATIONS

Requires an organized, highly motivated, and flexible individual with basic knowledge of credit union operations and excellent member service skills. Must understand and comply with State and Federal laws and guidelines governing delinquencies and possess the ability to display sound judgment. Must be able to represent the credit union in a professional manner and work with minimum supervision. Must be able to handle member conflict in a respectable and professional manner. Ability to prepare and complete delinquency documentation and to perform mathematical computation is required. Excel experience and/or the ability to become proficient in Excel is required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Clear and effective communication abilities required. Must be able to maintain professional and effective written and verbal communication with employees, members, vendors, legal counsel, and external partners as necessary. Must be able to view a terminal screen and operate a computer keyboard. Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collection of delinquent installment loans, Visa accounts, and negative balance accounts
