Position Overview


The Sage Intacct Solutions Architect is a senior, client-facing technical and functional leader responsible for designing,validating, and guiding end-to-end solutions for Accordant clients. This role sits at the intersection of operations, ERP systems, and modern field and project management platforms, with a primary focus onSageIntacct,Sage SCM,andSageSFO, as well asintegrated third-party solutions such as Procore,BuildOps, andServiceTitan.


The Sage Intacct Solutions Architect partners closely with Sales, Consulting, Development, and Client Success to translate complex business needs into scalable, supportable, and high-performing system architectures. Unlike a pure delivery or people-management role, this position emphasizes solution design, technical authority, and strategic advisory, ensuringAccordant'ssolutions are both operationally sound and commerciallyviable.

This role plays a critical part in pre-sales discovery, implementation strategy, and ongoing solution optimization, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and an internal standard-bearer for architectural best practices within the ERP practice.


Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Lead the end-to-end design for Sage Intacct prospects & clients, inclusive of areas such as job costing, project management, billing, and financial reporting.
  • Define and document future-state system architectures, including data flows, integrations, security considerations, and scalability requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend third-party platforms (e.g., Procore,BuildOps,ServiceTitan) and integration patterns that enhance client outcomes whilemaintaininglong-term system integrity.
  • Establish architectural standards, patterns, and best practices forAccordant'ssolutions, ensuring consistency and supportability across engagements.

Pre-Sales & Client Advisory

  • Partner with Sales to support pre-sales discovery, solution validation, and scope definition, ensuring proposed solutions arefeasible, well-architected, and aligned with clientobjectives.
  • Translate business requirements into clear solution narratives, helping clients understand trade-offs, risks, and long-term implications of design decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of implementation approaches, including fixed-price and phased delivery models, by defining assumptions, dependencies, and architectural guardrails.
  • Serve as a senior technical voice in client conversations, building confidence and credibility with executive and operational stakeholders.

Implementation & Delivery Enablement

  • Provide architectural oversight during implementations, ensuring delivery teams adhere to approved designs and escalate risks or deviations early.
  • Partner with Consulting and Development teams to resolve complex functional or technical challenges, including integrations, data migration, and performance optimization.
  • Support the transition from implementation to managed services by ensuring solutions are documented, supportable, and aligned with MSP standards.

Integration & Ecosystem Leadership

  • Design and oversee integrations between Sage Intacct and third-party technologies, balancing real-time needs, data accuracy, and maintainability.
  • Stay current on Sage platform roadmap developments and partner ecosystem capabilities, proactivelyidentifyingopportunities to enhanceAccordant'sofferings.
  • Collaborate with Sage and technology partners on solution alignment, certifications, and co-solution strategies whereappropriate.

Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership

  • Analyze patterns across client engagements toidentifyopportunities for repeatable solutions, accelerators, and packaged offerings.
  • Contribute to the evolution ofAccordant'sdelivery frameworks, architectural playbooks, and internal enablement materials.
  • Act as a mentor and escalation resource for consultants and analysts, elevating the overall architectural maturity of the practice.


Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7-10+ years of experience in ERP consulting or solution architecture, with significant exposure to Sage Intacct or comparable ERP platforms.
  • Deep understanding of financial and operational workflows, including job cost accounting, WIP, progress billing, change management, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience designing multi-system solutions, including ERP, project management, and field service platforms.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, pragmatic system architectures.
  • Proven client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence executive, financial, and operational stakeholders.


Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Procore,BuildOps,ServiceTitan, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales efforts, including solution validation, scope definition, and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with fixed-price implementation models and managed service offerings in a professional services environment.
  • Exposure tointegration tools, APIs, and data architecture concepts relevant to ERP ecosystems.
