Job description

Position Overview
The Sage Intacct Solutions Architect is a senior, client-facing technical and functional leader responsible for designing, validating, and guiding end-to-end solutions for Accordant clients. This role sits at the intersection of operations, ERP systems, and modern field and project management platforms, with a primary focus on Sage Intacct, Sage SCM, and Sage SFO, as well as integrated third-party solutions such as Procore, BuildOps, and ServiceTitan.
The Sage Intacct Solutions Architect partners closely with Sales, Consulting, Development, and Client Success to translate complex business needs into scalable, supportable, and high-performing system architectures. Unlike a pure delivery or people-management role, this position emphasizes solution design, technical authority, and strategic advisory, ensuring Accordant's solutions are both operationally sound and commercially viable.
This role plays a critical part in pre-sales discovery, implementation strategy, and ongoing solution optimization, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and an internal standard-bearer for architectural best practices within the ERP practice.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
  • Lead the end-to-end design for Sage Intacct prospects & clients, inclusive of areas such as job costing, project management, billing, and financial reporting.
  • Define and document future-state system architectures, including data flows, integrations, security considerations, and scalability requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend third-party platforms (e.g., Procore, BuildOps, ServiceTitan) and integration patterns that enhance client outcomes while maintaining long-term system integrity.
  • Establish architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for Accordant's solutions, ensuring consistency and supportability across engagements.

Pre-Sales & Client Advisory
  • Partner with Sales to support pre-sales discovery, solution validation, and scope definition, ensuring proposed solutions are feasible, well-architected, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into clear solution narratives, helping clients understand trade-offs, risks, and long-term implications of design decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of implementation approaches, including fixed-price and phased delivery models, by defining assumptions, dependencies, and architectural guardrails.
  • Serve as a senior technical voice in client conversations, building confidence and credibility with executive and operational stakeholders.

Implementation & Delivery Enablement
  • Provide architectural oversight during implementations, ensuring delivery teams adhere to approved designs and escalate risks or deviations early.
  • Partner with Consulting and Development teams to resolve complex functional or technical challenges, including integrations, data migration, and performance optimization.
  • Support the transition from implementation to managed services by ensuring solutions are documented, supportable, and aligned with MSP standards.

Integration & Ecosystem Leadership
  • Design and oversee integrations between Sage Intacct and third-party technologies, balancing real-time needs, data accuracy, and maintainability.
  • Stay current on Sage platform roadmap developments and partner ecosystem capabilities, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance Accordant's offerings.
  • Collaborate with Sage and technology partners on solution alignment, certifications, and co-solution strategies where appropriate.

Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership
  • Analyze patterns across client engagements to identify opportunities for repeatable solutions, accelerators, and packaged offerings.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Accordant's delivery frameworks, architectural playbooks, and internal enablement materials.
  • Act as a mentor and escalation resource for consultants and analysts, elevating the overall architectural maturity of the practice.

Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
  • 7-10+ years of experience in ERP consulting or solution architecture, with significant exposure to Sage Intacct or comparable ERP platforms.
  • Deep understanding of financial and operational workflows, including job cost accounting, WIP, progress billing, change management, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience designing multi-system solutions, including ERP, project management, and field service platforms.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, pragmatic system architectures.
  • Proven client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence executive, financial, and operational stakeholders.

Preferred Experience
  • Hands-on experience with Procore, BuildOps, ServiceTitan, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales efforts, including solution validation, scope definition, and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with fixed-price implementation models and managed service offerings in a professional services environment.
  • Exposure to integration tools, APIs, and data architecture concepts relevant to ERP ecosystems.
