Role Overviewย
The Acumatica Implementation Manager (IM) plays a key leadership role within Accordant Managed Services (AMS), providing bothย peopleย leadership and project governance to ensure consistent, high-quality implementation delivery. This role is accountable for the health of assigned projects, the development and effectiveness of Implementation Leads (ILs) and Implementation Specialists (ISs), and the overall client experience throughout the implementation lifecycle.ย

The IMย operatesย as both a strategic overseer and hands-on partner - proactivelyย identifyingย risks,ย validatingย scope alignment, ensuringย appropriate resourceย allocation, and reinforcing adherence to Accordant implementation standards. Through disciplined oversight inย Certiniaย and close partnership with ILs, the IM ensures projectsย remainย on track across timeline, budget, and quality expectations.ย

Additionally, the IM strengthens team capability within AMS through coaching, onboarding support, and performance management, while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Project Coordinators (PCs), and internal stakeholders to drive a seamless client journey. Success in this role requires sound judgment, proactive communication, and the ability to balance client needs, team capacity, and business priorities.ย

Key Responsibilitiesย

Project Governance & Executionย
The IM ensures oversight throughout the project lifecycle toย maintainย quality, consistency, and risk mitigation.ย

  • Setup & Pre-Discovery:ย Review project setup,ย validateย budget-to-hoursย alignment, host SOW reviews, and manage client onboarding.ย
  • Discovery Phase:ย Monitor risks, track timesheets, support ILs/ISs, coordinate resources, and ensure completed clientย sign-offs.ย
  • Build Phase:ย Oversee execution,ย monitorย project risks and timelines, ensure updates inย Certinia, and coordinateย additionalย resources as needed.ย
  • Ongoing Responsibilities:ย Monitorย weekly project health, track scope, risk, and resourcing, and proactively escalate concerns.ย

Scope & Change Managementย

  • Partner with ILs toย identifyย and manageย scopeย changes and resource impacts.ย
  • Assess resource needs,ย additionalย parties, ISV involvement, and workflow adjustments.ย
  • Ensure all impactsย toย timelines, budgets, and resourcing are documented, communicated, and approved.ย

Administrative & Personnel Leadershipย

  • Staff Scheduling & Allocation:ย Approve timesheets, manage team schedules, ensure project coverage, andย monitorย utilizationย trends.ย
  • Performance Management:ย Conduct reviews and feedback sessions, set goals, and provide coaching to Implementation Leads (ILs) and Implementation Specialists (ISs).ย
  • Hiring & Onboarding:ย Participateย in hiring, lead onboarding, and reinforce role readiness andย implementationย best practices.ย
  • Compliance & Documentation:ย Maintainย certifications, track skills, ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and internal procedures.ย
  • Leave & Attendance:ย Approve PTO andย monitorย attendance patterns.ย
  • Employee Relations:ย Address concerns or conflicts, promote engagement, and reinforce Accordant values.ย

Indicators of Successย

  • Projects stay on track with minimal surprises.ย
  • Risks areย identifiedย and addressed early.ย
  • ILs and ISs grow in capability and confidence.ย
  • Clients experience structured, well-governed implementations.ย
