Job Summary The Opportunity: Vice President of Finance KCHA seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking financial professional with strong experience who can lead the agency's Finance team while leveraging technology and enhancing financial processes to serve KCHA staff, residents, and the greater King County community. Being both skilled and outcomes driven will be key for the ideal candidate's ability to serve our community and support our employees. The Vice President (VP) will report to KCHA's Executive Vice President of Administration/Chief Administrative Officer (EVP).

This leader will be accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of all Finance department operations and services. They will develop goals and objectives and track progress, closely monitor agency-wide fiscal soundness, supervise four direct reports in a department with 29 FTEs, and assure compliance with government regulations. In collaboration with our EVP, the VP will ensure our financial integrity while fostering a supportive environment that drives progress and operational excellence across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a professional leader of excellent reputation and character with demonstrated career success within finance and accounting. Top candidates will have a background in the principles and practices related to accounting and finance including an in depth understanding of laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures related to financial management/controls, cost and fixed accounting, auditing, Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), investment and management of public funds. KCHA seeks an executive leader who will contribute to and complement an evolving culture of diverse and innovative leadership, rising to the challenge of meeting the housing needs of tomorrow, today.
