THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Account Manager- Suretymanages a book of insurance business, and provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues. Supports Producers and Commercial Account Managers in obtaining,maintaining, and expanding business. May alsobe responsible foraccount rounding and the development of new business asappropriateandin accordance withbestpractices, policies, andbroker standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service day to day client needs including, fielding phone calls, email,and other communicationrelativeto coverage questions, policy changes, payments, cancellations, etc.

  • Review bond requests toverify foraccuracy and request anyadditionalsupporting documents from insured.

  • Submit requests to surety company, producebondin final form along with bid transmittal letter for insured.

  • Manage client relationship ensuring satisfaction

  • Createbond-abilityletters for insureds as needed

  • Prepare performance/payment bonds in final form and return to client along with transmittal letter, certificates of insurance and premium invoice.

  • Manage relationships with underwriters to ensure positive results for clients, and negotiate coverage with underwriters

  • Responsible to set up andmaintainelectronic and paper client files.

  • Mentoring, collaboration,and training of Assistants Account Managers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • P & C Insurance Producer License Required

  • Surety Experience Preferred

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Four or moreyears insurance brokerage or property casualty insurance experience in account management rolestrongly preferred

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills

  • Strong data entry skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong organization and follow up skills

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment

  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, internetutilization; and

  • AppliedEPIC Agency Management System and ERLON experience preferred but notrequired

The expected salary range for this position is $29 - $34/hr depending on geographical location and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
