Job description

We are seeking an experienced Access Control & CCTV Systems Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of enterprise security systems and the ability to successfully manage installations from rough-in through final commissioning.

There is a great deal of opportunity involved in this position as we create the best solutions available for our customers. Our vertical markets include but are not limited to Educational, Health and Commercial environments. We work directly with the client to develop A/V, access control systems, CCTV systems, fire alarm, nurse call, and data infrastructure resulting in fully operational solutions. We integrate the latest technologies available into our projects and provide results that sometimes the customers themselves thought unachievable. We have over 25 years of experience in satisfying the needs of our clients, General Contractors, Electrical Contractors and Business owners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Installation, commissioning, and service of enterprise Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Integrated Security Systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, and construction documents.
  • Configure, program, and troubleshoot enterprise access control systems.
  • Configure, commission, and troubleshoot enterprise video management systems (VMS).
  • Perform system integrations between access control, video surveillance, intercom, intrusion detection, and third-party systems.
  • Conduct system testing, customer training, and project closeout documentation.
  • Maintain accurate as-built drawings, device inventories, and project records.
  • Coordinate with customers, general contractors, IT departments, and other trades.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality requirements.
  • Participate in on-call service rotations and emergency response when required.

Required Experience:

Access Control Platforms

Experience installing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting one or more of the following:

  • LenelS2 OnGuard
  • Software House C•CURE 9000
  • Genetec Security Center
  • Avigilon Alta Access
  • Brivo

Video Management Systems (VMS)

Experience installing, configuring, and supporting:

  • Milestone XProtect
  • Genetec Security Center
  • Avigilon Control Center
  • ExacqVision
  • Blaze/Wave

IP Video & Networking

  • IP camera installation and commissioning
  • ONVIF device integration
  • RTSP streaming and video transport protocols
  • VLAN configuration and network troubleshooting
  • Managed switches and PoE infrastructure
  • TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Fiber optic infrastructure and testing
  • Wireless bridge systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating access control with VMS platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise security integrations including:
    • Video verification
    • Intercom systems
    • Visitor management platforms
    • Intrusion detection systems
    • Elevator control
    • Building automation systems
  • Familiarity with Mercury hardware architecture.
  • Experience with SQL-based security platforms.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage construction practices and NEC requirements.
  • Ability to lead projects ranging from small commercial installations to large enterprise deployments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial security systems experience.
  • OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Valid Nevada driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must possess personal hand tools required for the position.
