Position Overview

PCC Network Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Access Control Technician / Foreman with extensive hands on experience installing, troubleshooting, and leading commercial access control projects.

This position requires strong knowledge of access control systems, electrified door hardware, readers, controllers, locking devices, and associated low voltage infrastructure. The successful candidate must also be capable of leading technicians and coordinating field activities.

Experience with CCTV, AV, structured cabling, and other low voltage systems is a plus, but extensive Access Control experience is the primary requirement.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead technicians performing commercial access control installations.
  • Install, service, test, and troubleshoot access control systems.
  • Install and troubleshoot card readers, controllers, power supplies, door contacts, request to exit devices, and related equipment.
  • Install and troubleshoot magnetic locks, electric strikes, and electrified door hardware.
  • Troubleshoot wiring, power, controllers, field devices, locking hardware, and system communications.
  • Read and interpret access control drawings, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and door schedules.
  • Coordinate field activities with Project Managers, customers, contractors, and other trades.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, punch list resolution, and project documentation.
  • Train and mentor technicians while ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Extensive commercial access control installation and service experience.
  • Previous experience as an Access Control Lead Technician, Foreman, Senior Technician, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of access control panels, readers, relays, inputs and outputs, power supplies, and electrified locking hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot access control systems and door hardware.
  • Experience leading technicians on commercial construction and renovation projects.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, risers, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Experience

Experience with CCTV, video surveillance, structured cabling, fiber, and AV systems is a plus but is not a substitute for extensive Access Control experience.

Manufacturer certifications in commercial access control platforms, BICSI certifications, and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 are preferred.

Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel locally throughout California.
  • Ability to work from ladders and lifts and in commercial construction environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials.
