Job Description
As an Academic Events Manager, you'll own the end-to-end execution of a high-volume events program that puts Base44 in front of students, builders, and communities across the United States. You'll leverage your expertise in event coordination and field operations to deliver measurable results and build Base44's presence at hackathons, on local campuses, at conferences, in faculty circles, and in partnership educational nonprofits. You are someone who thrives in an ownership role, planning and executing world class experiences for users both in person and remotely.
In your day-to-day, you will:
  • Book and manage weekly events per quarter across universities, VC accelerators, NGOs, and community spaces across the US
  • Own all logistical details: from agenda setting, to merch and content creation
  • Use AI tools to streamline coordination, and maximize event efficiency
  • Be on the ground at events, ensuring smooth execution and troubleshooting in real time
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, community, and enterprise teams to align on event goals and ensure strong partner handoffs
  • Build and maintain relationships with university partners, event hosts, and community organizers
  • Track event performance and provide detailed reports on results and impact

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in events, field marketing, or a related role. Bonus if you've thrived at a high-growth tech company or startup
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of activities, building from 0 to 1
  • Proficiency with AI tools in your day to day workflow
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly autonomous environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for being in the room and on the road
  • Willing and able to travel 25% of the time, including occasional weekends
  • Based in New York City or Miami areas
